2. No warranty and no guarantee of accuracy

The Free Web Scan is automated and runs a limited set of passive checks at a single moment in time. Results can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and can include both false positives (flagging something that is not actually a problem) and false negatives (missing something that is). Network conditions, CDNs, WAFs, geolocation, bot mitigation, caching, and changes to the target between scans can all affect the outcome. We make no representation or warranty that any Report is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any purpose.

3. The hack score and load score are not a verdict

The hack score is a configurable heuristic that assigns weighted points to observable signals and maps the total to a band. The load score is derived from the scan’s own timing data. These numbers are indicators to help triage, nothing more. In particular, a score does not mean, and must not be presented as meaning, that a website or its operator is:

• safe or unsafe to use, visit, or transact with;
• secure or insecure, compliant or non-compliant;
• malicious, fraudulent, compromised, or associated with any wrongdoing;
• well-engineered or poorly engineered.

The absence of findings is not a certificate of security, and the presence of findings is not proof of vulnerability or of malicious intent. The scores are not a rating, ranking, accreditation, or endorsement of any person or business.

4. No endorsement; third-party names and content

A Report may display a screenshot, technology fingerprint, headers, DNS data, and other material relating to a third-party website because a user directed a scan at it. That does not imply any relationship between Qcramai and that third party, or any endorsement in either direction. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their owners and are used only for identification.

5. Third-party data sources

Parts of a Report rely on external data — public DNS, certificate information, and reputation or blocklist providers such as Spamhaus, Quad9, and abuse.ch. We do not control that data and are not responsible for its accuracy or for the consequences of a listing, a delisting, or a lookup failure. A reputation result reflects a third party’s data at query time and may differ elsewhere or later.

6. Authorized use is the user’s responsibility

The Free Web Scan runs only when a user submits a target and confirms they are authorized to test it. The user is the operator of that scan. Qcramai does not verify ownership of or permission for any target and disclaims all liability for scans that a user initiates without proper authorization, including any claim brought by the operator of a scanned system. Running security checks against systems you do not own or have no permission to test may be unlawful in your jurisdiction and the target’s — see section 5 of the Terms & Conditions.

7. Effect on scanned systems

The Free Web Scan is designed to be light-touch: it makes a small number of ordinary requests and one browser render, without exploitation, brute force, injection, or load testing. Even so, any interaction with a remote system carries some risk (for example triggering rate limits, alerts, or logging on the target). To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qcramai is not liable for any effect a user-initiated scan has on a scanned system.

The Free Web Scan is provided gratuitously. In consideration of that, you accept that it comes with the broadest disclaimer and the limitations of liability set out in the Terms & Conditions, which are incorporated here by reference.

10. Limitation of liability

Your use of this website and the Free Web Scan is subject to the disclaimer of warranties and the limitation of liability in sections 13 and 14 of the Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
